"We had admired Britt's work for her beautiful and vivid landscapes and reached out to see if she worked on commission. We had a particular scene and size in mind, and Britt was happy to work with us. We shared a few pictures with her and she advised on how best to bring them to life in a painting. She kept us in the loop throughout the process but we also could rely on her judgment. We couldn't be happier with the final result - it was just what we had in mind! She even helped us through the framing process and provided some in-process pictures of our painting. Thank you Britt!"

STARTING YOUR CUSTOM ARTWORK
How do I start the custom painting process?
-
Contact me, below, or email me one or more photos. Include your size preference or your budget. Tell me what you like about the photo visually, and also some adjectives that describe how you felt in that moment.
-
I will get back to you with 2-3 possible composition options and other notes.
-
Once size and reference design is selected, you will receive a price quote for the painting, including sales tax as well as estimated shipping cost and a time estimate.
-
A 20% of price non-refundable deposit holds your place in the commission queue.
-
I keep you apprised of the progress of the painting throughout, and will send you photos and a video from different angles of your finished work for your approval.
-
Once approved, remaining balance is paid.
-
( If you don’t love it, I will either modify to your satisfaction or you are free to walk away. This hasn't happened yet-but I want you to know it's an option! The initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. )
-
Your artwork is carefully packed in a box designed for shipping large fine art paintings, and shipped as soon as possible after payment is received.
-
Once your painting arrives, you will love it or send it back within 2 weeks for a refund minus the 20% initial deposit and minus shipping costs both directions (this has never happened, but I want you to know it's an option!)

What About Framing?

"I wanted to commemorate my husband’s first glacier climb. Britt helped me select a photo from the climb. She helped me to realize the ‘what’ that I was trying to capture in a painting. I selected a challenging scene of mostly glacier snow and ice. Britt was able to show the texture of the snow as well as capture the action of the climbers as they move up the glacier. I am absolutely thrilled with how the painting came out. I definitely recommend her as a painter of commissioned art!"
