Sucia Island is the most popular recreational Island park in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.  It's a natural playground for hiking, kayaking, or just rock-hopping. 
This artwork is more stylized than most of my work.  I was inspired by Tom Thomson and the Group of 7.  Although a different species, something about the twisty trees on this Island make me think of the way they painted the trees of Algonquin Park in Canada.  Also, you can see Canada from here!
